Who is a refugee? What constitutes a refuge? I like this question because I think it encompasses many of the issues we are talking about. Especially in determining what is a refuge, we will be addressing the human rights issues at the camp and the international and US political responses. However, I also think that having this as our main questions puts a big political idea in people’s minds as they look at the panel and then will allow us to tell the story from the Haitian perspective perhaps without explicitly addressing the political issues.
